We offer 3D-OCT Ocular Coherence Tomography
This enables us to scan your retina and detect any early signs of conditions like macular degeneration, glaucoma and can also help us monitor changes in many eye conditions associated with diabetes, corneal disorders and even floaters. The significance of detecting such conditions at an early stage means less chance of your eyesight being permanently affected.
In addition to this we also have a Digital Imaging Slit lamp. This enables us to take detailed images of the surface of the eye and has been vital in allowing us to diagnosis and monitor many eye conditions such as Dry Eye , Blepharitis and Conjunctivitis and to track the effectiveness of any treatment.
We would recommend you to have an OCT scan
- If you are over 60
- If you are over 40 and shortsighted
- If you have high blood pressure
- If you have diabetes
- If you have any retinal abnormalities
- If there is any family history of eye problems
